Travel to the Offshore Oil Rig
After the interview was over (as mentioned in my previous blog) I was on pins and needles to go to the offshore rig .Next morning I started walking over to J.M.Baxi office (Parry’s Corner) from Periamet (the area where my hotel was situated) I walked some distance and then took a cycle rickshaw for the remaining distance .I reached the office around 10.00 A.M. The person I was supposed to meet had not come in .I was asked to wait .The person who had given me the forms to fill came in by 11.00 A.M. My Interview at Chennai
After spending an uneventful night at Chennai I woke up full of nervous energy ,It was supposed to be my big day ,going for my interview .Ordered my breakfast which was known as “Tiffin “consisting of two pieces of “Idlis” and two pieces of “vadas” wrapped in banana leaf and tied with a white string. (Those days aluminium foil were very rarely in use] and a cup of coffee I still miss that South Indian coffee taste and that flavour cannot be found anywhere else in the world, be it Barista Starbucks or Costa Coffee .

My friends had jobs and had started to chase their dreams. On returning home, I started to focus on my studies again. Joined college and picked up a part-time job at a local hotel working at the front desk. I used to attend College in the mornings and night shifts at the hotel.Continue reading “Delhi to Chennai”
Bygone era
During my younger days, movies were our favourite form of entertainment. We did not have PVR s or Multiplex halls. We had movie halls. Normally, there were four shows daily but sometimes we had morning shows as well .The movies which were screened during morning were cartoon movies and were mainly for students of specific boarding school.
Reminiscence
Hello everyone,

Here we go……
Hi Guys!
This is my first blog. Before starting this blog I was imagining myself to be Earnest Hemmingway, not as an explorer but as a writer. Now I realise it is not easy to pen down thoughts in a chronological order as these thoughts are running wild and there seems to be no continuity.Continue reading “Here we go……”
